ENDURUNS USV has arrived in Crete.
As a part of the ENDURUNS project, we’re excited to announce that after a long journey across Europe, our Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) has arrived in Chania, Crete, from the shipyard of Tuco Marine ApS – ProZero Workboats in Denmark. The USV was carefully received at our project partner ALTUS LSA S.A.’s facility.
In the upcoming period, our USV will undergo a meticulous final structural inspection led by the dedicated team of researchers from the School of Metallurgy and Materials of the University of Birmingham and NDT engineers from SWISS APPROVAL TECHNISCΗE BEWERTUNG.
Once the inspection is completed, the real excitement begins. Engineers from ALTUS LSA S.A., in collaboration with our other project partners, will instrument the USV with various types of equipment, including an autopilot system and a hydrogen PEM fuel cell. We’re thrilled to see the progress made so far and look forward to the developments that lie ahead for the ENDURUNS project.
