We’re thrilled to announce that our project partner, the Ingenium Research Group, has published a new insightful article on “Fault-Tree-Analysis-Based Health Monitoring for Autonomous Underwater Vehicle.” This critical research has been co-authored by Sungil Byun, Mayorkinos Papaelias, Fausto Pedro García Márquez, and Dongik Lee, who we congratulate heartily on their accomplishment!

The study addresses the crucial need for real-time monitoring of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) during lengthy undersea terrain and resource exploration missions. The paper puts forth an innovative online health-monitoring method for AUVs, using fault-tree analysis. It effectively illustrates the system’s health status evaluation by considering the performance, reliability, fault status, and weight factors of the components. The viability of the proposed method is impressively demonstrated through simulations with varied scenarios.

We are proud to be part of a project that continually contributes to the wealth of knowledge in our field. Read the full article at https://lnkd.in/dzVQ_46j.
